Author Bios

Short bio

Elijah Canfield writes intelligent science fiction about artificial intelligence, first contact, and the cost of discovering something humanity was never supposed to find.

Long bio

Elijah Canfield writes intelligent science fiction about artificial intelligence, first contact, and the consequences of discovering truths humanity may not be ready to understand.

With a background in engineering and entrepreneurship, he approaches speculative fiction through systems, consequences, and the question of what happens when technological capability begins moving faster than human wisdom.

He spent years building and operating complex things before he wrote about them: mechanical design, patented products, technology companies, and consumer businesses. RESET grew out of that work, and out of a simple unease about what capable systems might notice before anyone asks them to.

His fiction returns to discovery, restraint, memory, and the moment people realize the structures they trust have stopped behaving predictably.

Elijah lives in Michigan with his family.
